The cranks are 170mm Sugino RD2 Track. No issues with clearance.

Very creative use of the Polyvalent! What length are the crankarms, and how is the chainstay clearance? I'm considering using the same crankset/bb on mine, those are 130BCD, correct?

Much appreciated,

The handlebar on the City Bike are the Grand Bois Elysees. The Silver + Thumbie combination works well, but it needs a little more long-term durability testing before we can "whole heartedly" recommend it.

Hello there,

I saw another Polyvalent build of yours on ecovelo - the one with Porteur bars and what looks like a silver bar end shifter installed on a Paul's thumbie? I am curious whether you have more info or a post on that handlebar set-up; it looks unexpectedly nice.

Nice build! Where did you find Nitto Dirt drops? Or are those the 176 or 177s?

@ Lee --

Actually, with the Sugino RD2 Track crankset, we used the matching Sugino Messenger 103mm bottom bracket. With a 2mm spacer on the rear hub, the chainline is perfect.

I just got one of these. What length bb spindle did you use? I Tried a 118 mm and it is too short. I am thinking a 125 or even a 127 may be needed.

LOL! I am sure that the Polyvalent off-road fixie was not what Velo orange envisioned when they created that frame. Good job way to think outside the commuter box. How much would that bike be as built?

And soon you'll be able to ... we're planning on adding this to our "standard" builds for the Polyvarent.
