As some of our more astute customers have noticed, we recently added a Toll Free number to our contact information. While cell phones make this a little bit of an antiquated move, it is more about the message behind the “it’s free to call us” message.

Probably one of the most distinguishing characteristics about Renaissance Bicycles is that we want to take the time to help you make good decisions about bikes, parts, and accessories.  We don’t mind sharing our knowledge and experience, even if it doesn’t directly benefit us.  We know that a helpful conversation has definite valuable, despite what some of the online bike discounters would like you to believe.

In other words, we seem to lack the Killer Sales Instinct to “close the deal” — we’re not going to create a false sense of urgency, hype our products, or pressure you to make a uninformed decision.  Yes, we know this revolutionary sales model … maybe we’ll write a book called, Schmoozers are Losers: Friendly, Knowledgeable, and Honest People Can Sell Stuff Too.
