Saddles

Saddles are subjective.  Here are some our favorites to keep our renaissanced bicycles still a little classic:

Brooks England LTD

Brooks B17 Narrow / B17 Narrow Imperial

Brooks B17 Narrow Imperial

Hands down, this is our saddle of choice. Both the B17 Narrow and the Imperial (think “cutout” version) are superbly handcrafted saddles. Sure, they take some time (probably 100 miles) to mold to your “geometry”, but why not buy a saddle that gets better with age?

  • Dimensions: 280mm x 155mm
  • Weight: 530g / 500g (Imperial)
  • Narrow design provides more thigh room
  • Ideal for distance road riding
  • Made in England

Renaissance Bicycles Price: $100 / $135 (Free shipping in the U.S.)

Brooks B68 S (Women’s)

Brooks BB68 S

Designed with a Woman’s proportions in mind, the B68S is a classic alternative to the pillowy saddles on many women’s bikes. It is a little wider than the Brooks B17, and is a little shorter than the standard B68. Basically, this is the saddle to have for city riding or all day touring.

  • Dimensions: 235mm x 210mm
  • Weight: 530 grams
  • Real leather from a real cow
  • Textured surface
  • Seat bag loops
  • Made in England

Renaissance Bicycles Price: $110 (of course free shipping in the U.S.)

Brooks B17 Copper Special

Brooks B17 Copper Special

In our esteemed opinions, this is probably the most stylish saddle that Brooks produces. Sure, there more expensive special editions, but this is the one that the Brooks name is founded on. Plus, we find the Honey version to be a great complement to any neo-classic bike. Don’t forget the hand hammered copper rivets, just like they’ve done for more than a century.

  • Dimensions: 280mm x 170mm
  • Weight: 540 grams
  • Copper plated steel
  • Chamfered edge along skirt
  • Hand hammered copper rivets
  • Made in England

Renaissance Bicycles Price: $140 (U.S. shipping included)

And we have more saddles than we can list here. If you have a specific model in mind, just let us know.
