Renaissance Bicycles -- Vintage and Modern Lugged Steel Bicycles

Vintage Colnago Master Frameset

Sorry, but this frameset has been SOLD. It’s gone on to another bike lover for it’s next iteration.

1984 Colnago Master frameset

This beloved frame, which anchors the Renaissance Bicycles main graphic above, is now available to everyone. Really, it is somewhat bittersweet to see this frame for sale, but alas it will be better served as a complete bike under the guidance of an appreciative rider.

And as many of you already know, this frameset was built as a complete bike, and it has been ridden. You can the previous incarnation in our Renaissance Bicycles Gallery. Of course, it was well maintained and pampered, but there is a small nick on the inside of the left chainstay and a pinhead size chip off the left dropout. Otherwise, the paint is still gorgeous … even more gorgeous than these photos can show.

It goes without saying (but we will say it anyway) that the ride and performance of this frame is par excellence. Without getting too much on a soap-box, we would gladly put this frame up against any gee-wiz carbon creation that weighs a 1lb. less and twice the price. It is both stiff and smooth, both responsive and confident, both functional and a work of art. After all, it is a competition level handmade Italian frameset.
